THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR BID OR PROPOSAL. THIS IS A STATUTORILY MANDATED FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAY ADVERTISEMENT OF AN INTENDED SINGLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT BY the Florida department of agriculture and consumer services.

SEE ATTACHED DOCUMENTATION FOR DETAILS OF THE PRODUCTS AND SERVICES TO BE PROCURED AND SINGLE SOURCE JUSTIFICATION FOR THE SAME.

Prospective vendors who believe they can provide these commodities or contractual services shall provide relevant information to the contact person listed on this advertisement no later than MAY 20, 2025. If it is determined by the Department, after reviewing information received from prospective vendors, that the commodities or contractual services are available only from a single source, the Department will post notice of its intended decision to enter into an agreement with said vendor on the Vendor Information Portal pursuant to Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes.

Background
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking to procure surveillance or alarm maintenance and monitoring services. This procurement is mandated by statute and is intended as a single source purchase due to the unique capabilities of the vendor, Sonitrol of Tallahassee, which originally installed the security systems at various facilities.

Work Details
The contract will cover system maintenance and monitoring for the following locations:
- Conner Complex Buildings and facility gate in Tallahassee
- Florida Forest Service Headquarters and Shop in Tallahassee
- Tates Hell Headquarters Shop and offices in Carrabelle
- Shellfish Center Facility in Apalachicola
- Miscellaneous department facilities throughout Florida.

Additional sites may be added during the fiscal year. The services required include ongoing maintenance and monitoring of existing security systems.

Period of Performance
The contract is set to commence upon execution and will run through June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout the state of Florida including Tallahassee, Carrabelle, and Apalachicola.

Bidder Requirements
This procurement is intended for Sonitrol of Tallahassee as they are the only known source capable of providing necessary equipment, monitoring, and maintenance due to their original installation of the security systems. Other providers cannot interface with Sonitrol's equipment without significant additional costs.
