Sole Source - Soil and Water Engineering Technology, lnc.(SWET)

Background
This contract is issued by Florida Gulf Coast University under the authority of Regulation FGCU-PR6.016. The purpose of this sole source procurement is to acquire specialized services from Soil and Water Engineering Technology, Inc. (SWET) for the development of a Watershed Assessment Model (WAM) tailored specifically for the Peace River Watershed.

Work Details
SWET will develop the Watershed Assessment Model (WAM) for the Peace River Watershed as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW). The WAM is a proprietary toolkit designed to address specific environmental conditions in Florida, including agricultural and urban development practices, high water table muck soils, canalized drainage systems in southern Florida, and wetland preservation. This model is not available from any other provider.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed until the completion of the WAM development, with an anticipated end date of October 15, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Soil and Water Engineering Technology, Inc.'s location at 3448 NW 12th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32605.

Bidder Requirements
This procurement is classified as a sole source acquisition due to the proprietary nature of the WAM toolkit developed by SWET. No competitive bidding process will be conducted as SWET is the only source capable of providing this specific service.
