Small Minor Projects - Plumbing Contractors at UF Scripps, Jupiter FL

Background
The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation and Technology in Jupiter, FL, is seeking to establish an annual continuing contract for plumbing contractors. The goal of this contract is to simplify and expedite the execution of small plumbing construction projects at the institute. This contract will create a pool of plumbing contractors who can be utilized on an 'as needed, per job' basis.

Work Details
The contract encompasses small plumbing construction projects with each individual project having a maximum total construction cost of $200,000.00. Contractors will be selected based on compliance with qualifications and pricing. The awarded contractors will not be guaranteed work but may be solicited for quotes or bids for specific projects.

The contract allows for purchases by other state universities and governmental agencies with the consent of the successful bidders. The services include providing journeyman plumbers, apprentice plumbers, and plumber's helpers at regular and night/weekend rates, as well as a materials markup percentage.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from the date of award through November 30, 2027.

The work will be performed at The Herbert Wertheim UF Scripps Institute for Biomedical Innovation and Technology, Jupiter, FL.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of an Electrical Contractor license in good standing as per Florida Statute 489. They are also required to have general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence with UF named as additional insured, automobile liability insurance of at least $500,000 per occurrence with UF named as additional insured, and worker’s compensation as per Chapter 440 of Florida Statutes.

Bidders must list three similar projects completed within the last three years and provide contact information for references.
