Shuffleboard Clubhouse Rebuild - RFB

Background
The City of St. Pete Beach is seeking qualified contractors to provide design, permitting, and construction services for the repair and restoration of the Shuffleboard Club House located at 101 9th Avenue in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

The project aims to restore the facility to pre-storm conditions following damage from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton in 2024, ensuring public safety and compliance with all applicable regulations.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for:
- Removing all existing damaged materials.
- Shoring up the existing roof structure.
- Replacing and rebuilding all concrete footings and sidewalks.
- Replacing necessary 6x6 posts and installing required tie downs, strapping, and hurricane clips.
- Rebuilding exterior walls as needed.
- Paneling interior walls as needed.
- Repairing plumbing as needed.
- Rewiring all electrical systems to meet code standards.
- Replacing windows.
- Installing a new roof covering.

General requirements include providing design services, obtaining necessary permits, executing construction activities according to approved designs and safety regulations, implementing environmental protection measures, submitting a detailed project schedule with milestones, coordinating with utility providers and stakeholders, and providing a warranty for all work performed for a minimum of five years.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence within thirty (30) business days of receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and must be completed within 120 calendar days from the start of the project.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Shuffleboard Club House located at 101 9th Avenue in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed, bondable, and insured according to the City's requirements. They must submit a signed/notarized Contractor’s Bid Submittal along with a fee schedule, references, contractor’s license and insurance certificates, and a Public Entity Criminal Affidavit.

Bidders are required to attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 20, 2025.
