Shredding Services

Background
Miami-Dade County is issuing this Invitation to Quote (ITQ) for Document Shredding Services on behalf of the Department of Transportation and Public Works (DTPW).
The goal of this contract is to establish a reliable service for the shredding and disposal of documents as needed, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding document destruction.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary for the collection, shredding, and removal of documents at various County sites.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Providing a Certificate of Destruction for shredded materials.
2. Responding to on-demand service calls within 48 hours after notification.
3. Allowing County staff to view the destruction process of all materials.
4. Ensuring that shredded materials are recycled by a 'Registered Recycler' in Florida.
The pricing must include all associated costs such as recycling recovery surcharges, labor, equipment, transportation, disposal fees, and any other necessary expenses.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on the first calendar day of the month following approval by the Board of County Commissioners and will expire on the last day of the 12th month thereafter.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Miami-Dade County as designated by the Department of Transportation and Public Works.
