Background
The Broward County Aviation Department (BCAD) is seeking a qualified firm to provide professional contract security services at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and North Perry Airport (HWO).
The goal of the contract is to ensure the safety and security of airport operations by screening employees and preventing unauthorized access to secured areas, in compliance with federal regulations.
Work Details
The contract includes providing security personnel for various operational posts at FLL and HWO. Specific requirements include:
- FLL: 67 officers, 2 Security Operations Center Specialists, 7 supervisors, 1 Training Coordinator, 1 Assistant Project Manager, and 1 Project Manager, all operating 24/7/365. Additionally, 4 vehicles are required.
- HWO: 2 officers operating year-round with 1 vehicle.
Services include merchandise inspections, employee inspections using x-ray machines and metal detectors, securing exit lanes, airside and landside operations including traffic management and patrolling, perimeter gate security operations, and special posts for construction projects.
The contractor must adapt to changing operational needs as dictated by TSA regulations or other factors.
Period of Performance
