Security Guard Services - City Hall

Background
The City of Lauderhill is seeking proposals for Security Guard Services at City Hall under RFP NUMBER: 2026-017. The intent of this solicitation is to establish a contractual agreement with a qualified and licensed security firm to provide armed services. The awarded contractor will ensure the safety and protection of City employees, visitors, assets, and property.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide professional, reliable, and responsive security personnel. Specific duties include:
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent theft and unauthorized access.
- Monitor building access points.
- Maintain a visible presence.
- Respond to alarms and emergencies.
- Report incidents.
- Assist with emergency evacuations.
- Ensure compliance with security policies.

An armed security guard must be assigned to City Hall during operating hours, holding a Class 'G' License and trained in emergency response. The contractor must provide sufficient staffing, maintain professionalism, submit daily activity logs, and comply with insurance requirements including General Liability Insurance and Workers’ Compensation.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract shall be three (3) years with an option to renew for up to two (2) additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance
Security services will primarily be provided at City Hall located at 5581 West Oakland Park Boulevard, Lauderhill, FL.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must register online with the City and submit required affidavits including Public Entity Crimes Affidavit, Foreign Entity Laws Affidavit, and Anti-Human Trafficking Affidavit. All proposers must have a valid occupational license in Broward County and comply with local vendor requirements as outlined in the City of Lauderhill Code.
