SCRWTP Lime Softening Improvements - Blend Tank

Background
Collier County is issuing Bid No. 26-8683 for the construction of the SCRWTP Lime Softening Improvements, specifically focusing on the Blend Tank, located in Collier County, Florida. The project aims to enhance the water treatment capabilities of the South County Regional Water Treatment Plant (SCRWTP). The anticipated budget for this project is $3,290,000.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1) Demolition and disposal of the existing blend tank;
2) Demolition and disposal of chemical piping, analyzers, and appurtenances;
3) Demolition and disposal of ductile iron piping and appurtenances;
4) Provision and installation of a new blend tank, including chemical and conveyance yard piping and appurtenances;
5) Disinfection processes;
6) Commissioning of the new system;
7) Preparation of record drawings.

The contractor must ensure that all work is completed without unreasonable disruptions to service at the facility.

Period of Performance
The successful bidder is required to substantially complete all work within 277 calendar days from the commencement date specified in the Notice to Proceed. Final completion must be achieved within 30 calendar days after delivery of the Punch List.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the South County Regional Water Treatment Plant located at 3851 City Gate Dr, Naples, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide a certified bid bond amounting to at least 5% of their total bid. They are required to have completed at least three projects in the past ten years with a minimum contract value of $1,000,000 related to water or wastewater treatment facilities. Bidders must also hold necessary contractor's licenses and insurance as specified in the solicitation documents.
