Saint Francis Barracks Lighting Project

Background
The Department of Military Affairs (DMA) is seeking to hire a contractor to provide services for the installation of a new LED Lighting System at the St. Francis Barracks, which serves as the National Guard Headquarters.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the lighting infrastructure within key areas of the facility, ensuring compliance with modern standards and improving operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for:

1. Removal and disposal of existing lighting fixtures and unnecessary electrical infrastructure as directed by the DMA Project Manager and Project Consultant.
2. Reworking existing wiring for new light fixtures/systems, including removing unused wires back to the panel and re-labeling any unused breakers as SPARE.
3. Removing all unused conduits and junction boxes above ceilings or in accessible locations, while leaving unused conduits in walls intact and blanking off unused switch boxes.
4. Furnishing fixtures for the Command Center, Cedar Room, and Conference Room as per specifications provided during a mandatory site visit.
5. Installing new specified light fixtures and control systems according to provided drawings; no alternate fixtures will be accepted.
6. Testing lighting fixtures and associated electrical/control components to meet ITB requirements.
7. Providing project management and commissioning services throughout the project scope until completion.
8. Supplying necessary vehicles and equipment for delivery, transport, installation, and workplace safety.
9. Ensuring all required licensing, permitting, and OSHA safety certifications are obtained.
10. Establishing a Material and Equipment Staging Area as directed by the DMA Project Manager.
11. Properly disposing of removed lamps with verification required prior to payment issuance.
12. Providing daily waste removal and cleanup services as required by the DMA Project Manager.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to begin on or about May 1, 2025, with specific installation deadlines set for different areas: Cedar Room by June 1, 2025; Command Center and Conference Room by July 31, 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Saint Francis Barracks located at 82 Marine Street, Saint Augustine, FL 32084.
