Roof Replacement (South Region HQ) for the Florida and Wildlife Conservation Commission

Background
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking a qualified contractor for the Roof Replacement project at the South Region Headquarters located in West Palm Beach, Florida. This project is administered by the Department of Management Services, which oversees real estate development and management for state facilities. The goal of this contract is to replace the roofing systems of multiple buildings within the headquarters to ensure structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the complete roof replacement across three buildings at the FWC South Region HQ. The scope includes:
- Demolition of existing roofing materials as per demolition plans (A0.1, A0.2, A0.3, A0.4).
- Installation of new roofing systems including metal roof panels (07411), sheet metal flashing and trim (07620), and joint sealants (07920).
- Compliance with all applicable building codes and regulations during construction.
- Provision of a watertight field office for the Architect/Engineer on-site, installation of necessary utilities, and site security measures throughout the project duration.

Period of Performance
The contract period is set for 210 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed, which includes 60 days for substantial completion per building and an additional 30 days for overall project completion.

The work will be performed at 8535 Northlake Blvd., West Palm Beach, Florida 33412.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed general contractors or roofing contractors prequalified with the Department of Management Services under Chapters 399, 455, 489, or 633 of the Florida Statutes. Each bidder must submit prequalification data five days prior to bid opening. A bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount is required if bids exceed $100,000. Contractors must also comply with public entity crime information statements and provide criminal history background checks for all employees working on-site.
