Riverwalk Parking Garage Repairs PHASE II

Background
The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is seeking qualified and licensed firms to provide design services for the Riverwalk Parking Garage Repairs - Phase II project. This initiative is part of the City’s Transportation and Mobility Department's efforts to maintain and enhance public infrastructure. The project aims to address structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire suppression system needs identified in a prior assessment.

Work Details
The work under this contract includes Engineering Design Services for Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems. Specific tasks include:

- Repairs and updates to fire department connections (FDC) lines and standpipes throughout the garage.
- Upgrades to the electrical system to support recent elevator improvements.
- Pressure washing and waterproofing the exterior of the building and top slabs.
- Installation/replacement of damaged or missing perimeter wood rails at all levels.
- Removal of rust and painting of all metal tube rail behind wood rails at all levels.
- Painting of stair rails/handrails/posts.
- Removal and replacement of glazing systems in elevator shafts with impact glazing that meets current wind pressure standards.
- Improvements to the retail courtyard area including window replacements for impact capabilities.
- Enhancements to wayfinding and camera systems for license plate recognition monitoring.

Period of Performance
The work shall commence within 14 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is expected within 180 calendar days after commencement. The initial contract term is two years from the award date, with options for two additional one-year extensions.

Place of Performance
The project will be performed at the Riverwalk Parking Garage located at 150 SE 2nd Street, Fort Lauderdale, FL.
