Request for Information (RFI) - Access Control System

Work Requested:
The County is seeking information regarding the availability of an Access Control System and related services that can support network integration with the existing system installed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL). The required work includes:

• Provision of an Access Control system compatible with the current setup at FLL
• Support for modifications, expansions, monitoring, testing, inspection, repairs, and maintenance of the system
• Testing, programming, certification, and maintenance of warranties for the system

It is critical that any proposed system or service integrates seamlessly with the existing infrastructure to avoid security and safety issues within the facility.

Requesting Entity:
The Broward County Aviation Division (BCAD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI).

Background:
SGI Matrix Systems, LLC (Matrix) currently provides the Access Control system and services at FLL. The County believes Matrix is the only vendor capable of meeting its needs due to the existing system's requirements. Transitioning to a different vendor would necessitate a complete overhaul of all access control equipment, installation of a new centralized monitoring system, and the development and dissemination of new training for airport personnel.

Contract Requirements:
Any contract for these services must:

• Utilize the approved, sole source vendor to maintain system integrity and warranties
• Ensure integration with the existing access control system
• Maintain security and safety standards within the facility

Use of a different system or vendor may compromise these requirements.
