QR 90369 - Fabrication New Aluminum Walkways

Background
The St. Johns River Water Management District (District) is a political subdivision of the state of Florida, covering all or portions of 18 counties. The District aims to procure a contractor to fabricate two 20-foot-long aluminum walkways to replace deteriorating wooden structures used for accessing water quality sampling and monitoring stations. This initiative aligns with the District's mission to enhance safety and uniformity in its infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will fabricate two (2) 20-foot-long aluminum walkways according to the attached drawings and specifications. Additionally, four (4) 30-foot H-piles (HP8 x36) must be delivered with the walkways. The fabrication includes:
- Providing shop drawings for review and approval by the District.
- Fabricating aluminum walkways as per specifications, with only H-piles and beams being steel members; all other components are aluminum with a mill finish.
- H-piles, handrails, swing gates, and ancillary support beams are included but not attached for delivery.
- Delivery of completed walkways and ancillary materials to either the District’s Apopka Field Office or Palm Bay Service Center.

Note: Installation of the walkways or supplying concrete footers is not part of this contract.

Period of Performance
All fabrication activities must be completed by September 30, 2024.

Place of Performance
The completed walkways and H-piles shall be delivered to either:
1. Apopka Field Office: 25633 County Road 448A, Mount Dora, FL 32757
2. Palm Bay Service Center: 525 Community College Parkway S.E., Palm Bay, FL 32909.
