Background
The City of Jacksonville, Florida, through its Parks, Recreation and Community Services Division, is seeking bids for the supply of public pool and fountain chemicals. This initiative aims to ensure the proper maintenance and operation of public aquatic facilities across various locations in Jacksonville. The contract is intended to establish a reliable source for these essential chemicals, which are crucial for maintaining water quality and safety in public pools and fountains.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and chemicals necessary for the maintenance of public pools and fountains as specified in the bid documents. Key requirements include:

1) Delivery of chemicals to specified locations including the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Complex and various public pool sites;
2) Scheduled deliveries with specific timelines;
3) Provision of a dashboard for tank level monitoring;
4) Compliance with safety standards including Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS);
5) Ability to fulfill orders on an 'as needed' basis with minimum delivery frequencies outlined;
6) Submission of product samples for verification prior to contract award.

Period of Performance
The initial contract period is one year, with options for three additional one-year renewals subject to mutual agreement between the contractor and the City of Jacksonville.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at various locations within Jacksonville, Florida, including but not limited to the Parks and Recreation Maintenance Complex at 555 W. 44th St., Jacksonville, FL 32208, as well as numerous public pool sites throughout the city.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be legally authorized to conduct business in Duval County and comply with all local business licensing requirements. They must also certify that no conflicts of interest exist regarding their bid. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to utilize Jacksonville Small Emerging Businesses (JSEBs) in their proposals.
