Prospect Lake Clean Water Center

Background
The City of Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking bids from qualified contractors to provide construction services for the Public Works Department.
The goal of this contract is to construct a feedstock watermain to deliver raw water to the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center for treatment.

Work Details
The work includes the construction of approximately 700 linear feet (LF) of a 54-inch ductile iron pipe feedstock watermain.
Additional tasks include:
1. Performance and Payment Guaranty and Insurance
2. Mobilization
3. Maintenance of Traffic
4. Furnishing and Installing Prevention, Control, and Abatement of Erosion and Water Pollution
5. Allowance for Permit Fees
6. Furnishing and Installing various fittings, gate valves, and connections as detailed in the project specifications, including:
- 40 tons of full-bodied fittings
- 1 each of 24-inch and 30-inch gate valves
- Various lengths of Class 350 ductile iron pipe (DIP) restrained connections ranging from 10 LF to 690 LF
7. Restoration of green areas, subgrade installation, limerock installation, and asphalt paving as specified.

Period of Performance
The estimated period for completion is linked to the project funding approval date set for July 18, 2024.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
