Background
The State of Florida Department of Education is seeking qualified vendors to establish a 36-month term contract for Professional Property Moving Services.
The Department aims to achieve maximum savings and efficiencies by outsourcing office moves and surplus property handling services.

Work Details
The Contractor must provide moving services locally and statewide, including office relocations and removal of surplus furniture.
The Contractor must be a licensed moving company with a fully equipped operational facility, supplying all necessary moving trucks, equipment, and supplies.
Services are to be performed primarily during business hours (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday) with the possibility of additional hours as needed.
The Contractor must designate a Customer Service Manager for day-to-day operations and ensure that all personnel are properly trained.
They are responsible for maintaining equipment in good working order and must own or lease specific vehicles and moving equipment.
Deliverables include signed activity reports within 48 hours of job completion, addressing any damage claims, and ensuring compliance with state rules and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will last for 36 months with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed statewide in Florida, primarily focusing on the Tallahassee area.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of five years' experience as a licensed moving contractor.
They must provide evidence of background checks for personnel working with the Department, maintain appropriate insurance coverage including workers' compensation and general liability, and comply with state regulations regarding employment practices.
