Professional Services for Huguenot Memorial Park Shoreline Enhancement

Background
The City of Jacksonville is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Professional Engineering services aimed at addressing shoreline erosion issues at Huguenot Memorial Park located at 10980 Heckscher Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32226.
The goal of this project is to identify a feasible solution to chronic erosion affecting the park. This initiative aligns with the city's mission to maintain and enhance public parks and recreational areas.

Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive study and analysis of shoreline erosion issues at Huguenot Memorial Park.
The initial phase of the project includes:
1) A complete alternatives analysis;
2) A comprehensive feasibility study;
3) A preliminary design.
The contractor must demonstrate coastal engineering expertise and provide examples of previous work related to shoreline stabilization and nourishment structures. Additionally, they must submit at least three feasibility studies or alternative analyses for similar erosion issues.

Period of Performance
The agreement is a one-time purchase that will commence upon execution of the purchase order or contract and will continue until the completion and acceptance of the stated scope of work.

Place of Performance
The services will primarily be performed within Duval County, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be authorized and licensed under Florida statutes to perform the professional services sought by this RFP.
They must also have the capability to deliver final drawings in electronic format (.dx or .dwg), possess coastal engineering expertise, provide three examples of relevant designs, submit three professional references, and hold a Local Business Tax Certificate if applicable.
