Pole Barn Kits

Background
The District School Board of Pasco County is seeking to establish a contract with multiple vendors for the purchase and construction of Pole Barn Kits on an 'as needed' basis. The goal is to ensure compliance with Florida Building Code and provide necessary infrastructure for district facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all expertise, services, labor, materials, and equipment required for constructing pole barns. The scope of work includes:
- Construction of pole barn kits in compliance with the Florida Building Code.
- Site preparation, including grading and foundation work.
- Installation of structural components, roofing, and siding.
- Compliance with wind load standards (up to 160–175 mph in coastal areas).
- Flood zone compliance (elevated at least 1 foot above base flood elevation).
- Obtaining all necessary permits, drawings, and scheduling inspections.

Period of Performance
The initial term of this contract will commence upon Board Approval and shall remain in effect for three (3) years. It may be renewed for a period that may not exceed three (3) years or the term of the original contract, whichever is longer.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at various locations within the District School Board of Pasco County as specified in individual project requests.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be licensed under Florida Statutes Chapter 489 and prequalified under F.S. 1013.46. They must submit a 100% Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, proof of insurance coverage, and have experience in similar construction projects.
