Background
The County of Volusia is seeking pest control services for various locations as part of its facilities management efforts. The goal of this contract is to ensure effective pest management across multiple sites, which may include multiple buildings at some locations.
The County reserves the right to modify the list of service locations during the contract term, allowing for flexibility in response to changing needs.
Work Details
The contractor will provide pest control services at various locations as specified in Attachment B-Pricing. Services include treatment of facilities a minimum of once per month, totaling at least twelve treatments per year.
The pricing for additional locations will be based on a fixed cost per square foot as detailed in the pricing sheet. The contractor must ensure that all services meet or exceed the minimum performance specifications outlined in the solicitation.
Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement is three (3) years, with options for two (2) one-year renewals contingent upon mutual agreement and approval from the County Council.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations throughout Volusia County, Florida, as specified in Attachment B-Pricing.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must provide proof of insurance including:
- Workers Compensation (Florida Statutory Coverage)
- Commercial General Liability with limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate
- Motor Vehicle coverage with a combined single limit of $500,000.
Additionally, bidders must demonstrate financial stability and provide references for similar projects completed within the last three years. Local businesses may receive a preference during evaluation.
