Park Construction - Blue Road Park

Background
The City of Coral Gables is soliciting bids for the construction of Blue Road Park, aimed at creating an accessible neighborhood playground. This project is part of the city's initiative to enhance community recreational facilities. The contract is available to pre-qualified contractors under contract RTQ 2017.02.MS General and Specialty Trade Contractor Services, emphasizing the need for qualified bidders who can meet the outlined requirements.

Work Details
The scope of work includes two main components: Land Construction and Water Construction.

For Land Construction, the contractor will install:
- Accessible playground equipment
- Landscape lighting
- A concrete sidewalk
- A drinking fountain
- Site drainage and grading
- An aluminum perimeter fence with gates
- Picnic tables
- Benches
- Bike racks
- Trash receptacles
- A park name sign
- A push-activated mister
- ROW improvements.

All work must comply with the Florida Building Code and other applicable regulations.

For Water Construction, the contractor will build an observation deck and floating kayak platform with ADA access. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, supervision, and expertise necessary for both projects as detailed in various exhibits (Exhibit A-F) attached to the solicitation.

Period of Performance
The work for Land Construction must be substantially completed within 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed date. The Water Construction must commence within 30 days after completing Land Construction.

Place of Performance
The construction will take place at Blue Road Park located at 575 Blue Road, Coral Gables.
