Description
Background
Hillsborough County is updating the award amount for a previously awarded five-year contract for a new paratransit scheduling software system and associated maintenance.
The contract was originally awarded to Via Transportation, Inc., but due to functionality limitations, the County terminated that contract and is now awarding it to Ecolane USA, Inc.
The total cost of the new contract is $1,027,877.16. This update aims to ensure transparency regarding the contract amount and reflects a correction from an earlier misstatement.
Work Details
The awarded contract includes the provision of a new paratransit scheduling system that will be utilized by the Sunshine Line Department.
The system will manage client eligibility, facilitate advance and real-time trip reservations, issue bus passes, support both manual and fully automated trip scheduling, enable dispatching, provide automatic vehicle tracking, handle billing, and generate reports.
The originally awarded firm was unable to meet the required functionalities satisfactorily.
Period of Performance
The contract is set for a duration of five years.
Place of Performance
The services will be performed within Hillsborough County.
Bidder Requirements
There are no specific set-aside certifications or subcontracting requirements mentioned in this solicitation.
Although there was an opportunity for proposers to receive bonus points for committing to subcontract with Certified Disadvantaged Minority/Disadvantaged Women Business Enterprises (DM/DWBE) firms, none of the proposers requested such points.
