Work Details
Contractors are required to supply and install approximately eleven (11) Royal Palm (Roystonea regia) trees with a minimum of 25 feet of clear trunk (CT) and approximately five (5) Green Malayan Coconut Palm (Cocos nucifera) trees with a minimum of 15 feet of clear trunk (CT).
All plant material must be 'Florida No. 1' grade or equivalent, free from pests, diseases, and mechanical trunk damage. The contractor must provide all necessary materials, labor, tree bracing, and utility locates. Responsibilities include removing existing stumps/root balls, transporting new trees, initial watering of root-balls, obtaining utility locates, and Right of Way permits prior to work commencement. The contractor shall ensure that no bracing impedes parking or pedestrian access. A warranty for the survival of all palms for one year from substantial completion is required, excluding damages from Acts of God or owner neglect.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period defined by the project schedule established by the contractor in coordination with the Town's requirements. Specific timelines will be outlined in the installation schedule submitted by the contractor.
