Overhead Digital Signage System - Phase 1 (Re-Bid)

Background
The Sanford Airport Authority is seeking qualified vendors to submit proposals for the replacement of its existing overhead digital signage system at Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). This project, designated as 'Overhead Digital Signage System – Phase 1,' is the initial phase of a multi-stage initiative aimed at enhancing airport wayfinding, advertising, and communication through state-of-the-art digital signage technology. The airport serves as a secondary commercial airport for Orlando and has transitioned to primarily domestic passenger traffic since 2008.

Work Details
The selected vendor will replace four (4) existing Daktronics GP4-180x180-20-SF overhead digital arrival/departure signs with a new, modern, high-performance outdoor digital signage solution. The scope includes:

1. Design & Engineering: Provide a digital signage system that meets or exceeds the performance capabilities of the existing units while adhering to all dimensional and structural constraints.

2. Procurement & Fabrication: Furnish all equipment, materials, and components compliant with the project’s Technical Specifications, MUTCD, and NEMA requirements.

3. Integration & Compatibility: Ensure seamless connectivity with the airport’s existing information systems for real-time data, messaging, and content updates; provide a secure cloud-based content management solution with remote scheduling and control capability.

4. Installation: Remove existing signage and install new signs along with mounting structures and associated hardware while minimizing disruption to airport operations.

5. Testing & Commissioning: Perform complete system testing including connectivity and environmental operation before acceptance.

6. Training & Documentation: Provide training for airport personnel on system operation and furnish all necessary documentation.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe that will be detailed in the final contract agreement.

Bidder Requirements
Respondents must be registered with the Florida Department of State to do business in Florida, not listed on the Convicted Vendor List or Scrutinized Companies lists as defined by Florida Statutes. They must confirm their ability to obtain required insurance coverage and submit a Proposal Guaranty in the form of a bank certified check or bid bond amounting to 5% of their proposal.
