Notice of intent to extend RTQ-01702

Background
Miami-Dade County's Strategic Procurement Department is extending a pool of pre-qualified vendors capable of providing veterinary services for canine, feline, and other animals assigned to the Animal Services Department.

The goal is to establish a Prequalified Pool of Vendors that will be used to solicit veterinary services on an as-needed basis. This pool allows for flexibility in engaging vendors who meet the necessary qualifications.

Work Details
Vendors will provide veterinary services including but not limited to:
- Examining, evaluating, diagnosing, treating, and providing necessary health care for the County’s animal population;
- Prescribing and administering medications;
- Performing high volume spay/neuter surgeries;
- Conducting rabies vaccination clinics;
- Examining injured or ill pets at the shelter;
- Performing other surgeries as needed.

Services will be provided at various locations including the Main Shelter, Mobile Animal Clinic, Homestead Animal Clinic, and off-site special events. The pool remains open for new submissions throughout its term.

Period of Performance
The contract period will last for three years from the first calendar day of the month succeeding approval by the Board of County Commissioners.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at multiple locations throughout Miami-Dade County including:
- Main Shelter (3599 NW 79th Avenue, Miami, Florida)
- Mobile Animal Clinic Unit
- Homestead Animal Clinic
- Various off-site special events.
