Notice of intent to Designate Only Reasonable Source for Fire Alarm Monitoring, Maintenance & Repair

The work of the contract involves providing comprehensive fire alarm monitoring, maintenance, and repair services. The contractor will be responsible for supplying all necessary labor, equipment, materials, transportation, licensed personnel, certifications, tools, supervision, testing, and inspections required to conduct annual maintenance inspections, monthly monitoring, fire watch services, and repairs on the fire alarm systems. The fire alarm system network includes NOTIFIER Fire Alarm Control Panels, Network Control Annunciators (NCA), Network Web Server (NWS), Embedded Gateway, Banet Gateway, Modbus Gateway, and computer-based Color Graphic User Interfaces such as ONYXWorks, FirstVisions, and Network Control Devices. All components must function together as a fully integrated, campus-wide system. Additionally, any modifications, expansions, monitoring, testing, inspections, repairs, or maintenance of the Notifier fire alarm and life safety system must be performed by an authorized distributor to ensure proper testing, programming, certification, and maintenance of existing warranties. The request is being made by the County, which is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) Notice of Intent to Designate Only Reasonable Source. This contract is being considered because WSA Systems-Boca, LLC (WSA) is currently the approved and contracted vendor on several ongoing and proposed construction projects. The County is seeking to determine if the specified commodity or service is available from multiple providers or if an alternative commodity or service can meet the County's needs. This notice is not a request for pricing or a purchase commitment. Contract requirements specify that the contractor must be capable of providing all services and components listed, and must be an authorized distributor for the Notifier fire alarm and life safety system to maintain warranties and certifications. Instructions for submission require prospective vendors to provide information regarding their ability to supply the specified commodity or service. The RFI will remain posted until the designated closing date and time.
