Nassau County Health Department (CHD) Janitorial Services

Background
The Florida Department of Health is seeking competitive bids for janitorial services at multiple locations for the Nassau County Health Department (CHD). The goal of this contract is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in health facilities, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for staff and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services at the following locations:
- Fernandina Beach Clinic (5,850 sq. ft.)
- Yulee Clinic (6,480 sq. ft.)
- Callahan Clinic (2,500 sq. ft.)
- Hilliard Clinic (4,350 sq. ft.)
- Environmental Health (2,150 sq. ft.).

Services include daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing surfaces in break rooms and restrooms, trash disposal, and maintaining exterior areas. Specific tasks include:
- Daily floor maintenance including sweeping and disinfecting non-carpeted areas.
- Cleaning and sanitizing tables and countertops in break rooms.
- Emptying and cleaning all trash receptacles with disinfectant.
- Cleaning restrooms including fixtures, mirrors, and replenishing supplies.
- Weekly cleaning of office furniture and monthly spot cleaning of walls.

Additional requirements include providing photo identification for staff, securing cleaning supplies on premises, and ensuring all doors are locked after work.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on September 1, 2025, or upon the issuance of a purchase order, whichever is later. The contract term will end on June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Janitorial services will be performed at multiple locations in Nassau County, Florida: Fernandina Beach Clinic, Yulee Clinic, Callahan Clinic, Hilliard Clinic, and Environmental Health.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least two years of experience in cleaning facilities in both office and medical settings. A Level 2 Background Screening may be required for all staff performing duties under the contract. Additionally, bidders must comply with various certifications regarding scrutinized companies and forced labor.
