Mobile Data Terminal XR80 Purchase and Installation

Background
The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners, specifically the Fire Rescue Department, is seeking competitive sealed bids from experienced and qualified contractors for the purchase, installation, licensing, support, and consulting services of Sierra Wireless Mobile Data Terminals, Model XR80. The goal of this contract is to enhance the operational capabilities of the Fire Rescue Department over a five-year period with an estimated budget of $1,326,540.00.

Work Details
The contractor will provide 225 Sierra Wireless Mobile Data Terminals (Model XR80), which will replace existing Sierra Wireless Mobile Data Terminals (Model MG90). The scope includes:
1. Purchase and installation of terminals.
2. Licensing and support services for the terminals.
3. Consulting services related to the implementation and operation of the terminals.
4. Installation of 180 devices within four months at a rate of two devices per day, including removal of existing hardware.
5. All products must be new and unused; no factory seconds are accepted.
6. Delivery must occur within 30 calendar days from receipt of a Standard Purchase Order (SPO).
7. The contractor must stock sufficient quantities to meet delivery timelines and provide all necessary documentation including packing lists with deliveries.

Period of Performance
The contract will be in effect for a five-year period from the effective date established by the County’s Blanket Purchase Agreement or Contract Purchase Agreement.

Place of Performance
The installations will occur at the Public Safety Operations Complex located at 9450 E. Columbus Drive, Tampa, Florida 33619.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must be an authorized Premier SemTech/Sierra Wireless partner/reseller for all products bid at the time of submission and throughout the contract term. Insurance coverage is required as per ITB-25-00371 Insurance Requirements Attachment and Special Terms and Conditions.
