Background
The City of Jacksonville, through its Public Works Department, is seeking bids for the construction of the Mike McCue Bulkhead Replacement. This project aims to enhance the infrastructure at Mike McCue Park & Boat Ramp located at 2nd Ave. N., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. The goal is to provide a durable and effective bulkhead that meets the specified contract drawings and specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of the bulkhead replacement. The work includes all operations as outlined in the contract documents, which detail specific requirements for construction practices, materials to be used, and adherence to safety regulations.

The contractor is expected to begin work within ten (10) calendar days after receiving written notice from the owner and must complete the base bid work within 360 calendar days, including Sundays and holidays.

The contract period will commence upon execution of the purchase order or contract and will continue until completion and acceptance of the stated scope of work.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be legally authorized to do business in Duval County and comply with all minimum requirements for this bid. They must provide proof of applicable local business licenses and demonstrate experience on similar projects.

Bidders are also required to submit a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Additionally, bidders must adhere to insurance requirements as specified in the solicitation documents.
