Microfiche Imaging Conversion

Background
The Department of State, Division of Corporations, is seeking a vendor to convert approximately 625,000 microfiche cards to a digital format by June 30, 2025. This initiative aims to preserve essential public records and reduce reliance on outdated microfiche reading equipment.

The Division currently stores over 2.5 million microfiche at their facility in Tallahassee, Florida. The conversion will facilitate easier access to these records via the Sunbiz.org website and ensure their long-term preservation.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for converting approximately 625,000 microfiche cards into a digital format. This includes scanning the microfiche and ensuring that the digital files are compatible with the Division's existing electronic imaging system.

The project aims to eliminate the need for physical microfiche readers and improve public access to these records. The minimum requirements for this project are detailed in Attachment B - Statement of Work/Specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to be completed by June 30, 2025. There is a possibility of three one-year renewal terms based on legislative appropriations.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Department of State's facility located at 2415 N. Monroe Street, Suite 810, Tallahassee, FL 32303.
