Description

The Department of Health (Department) is requesting replies from qualified respondents to replace its licensing and regulation data system with an encrypted, role-based cloud solution to address current and emerging business needs related to health care practitioner regulation.

Background
The Florida Department of Health (Department) is seeking qualified respondents to modernize its Medical Quality Assurance (MQA) Licensure and Enforcement System. The goal is to replace the existing licensing and regulation data system with an encrypted, role-based cloud solution that meets current and future business needs related to healthcare practitioner regulation. MQA is responsible for regulating over 1.5 million healthcare practitioners and facilities, ensuring public health, safety, and welfare through professional licensure, facility permitting, and administrative enforcement.

Work Details
The contract will involve the provision of a comprehensive licensing, enforcement, and information system that enhances regulatory efficiency and public protection. Key objectives include:
- Streamlining application and license management processes for healthcare practitioners.
- Ensuring compatibility with mobile devices and integration with auxiliary systems such as AI virtual agents.
- Automating information gathering to reduce manual processes.
- Providing a user-friendly interface for all business components including application processing, inspections, license renewals, continuing education tracking, payment functionality, and auditing.
- Implementing a robust case management system for investigative staff to improve communication and reduce data entry redundancy.
- Ensuring the system is adaptable to future technological advancements over the next 15 years.
