Background
The Department of Financial Services, Division of Workers’ Compensation, is seeking to enter into an agreement with UpToDate Wolters Kluwer Clinical Drug Information, Inc. for a subscription service that serves as a reference/resource in determining appropriate reimbursement amounts for pharmaceutical services provided to injured workers.

The decision to award this contract is based on the inability of other vendors to provide the required product.

Work Details
The contract involves an annual subscription to the Wolters Kluwer UpToDate Inc.’s Medi-Span Master Drug Database, which is essential for fulfilling the requirements of section 440.13(12)(h), Florida Statutes.

This database will be used as a reference tool to determine reimbursement amounts for pharmaceutical services rendered by healthcare providers to injured workers.

The total cost for the three-year license subscription is $160,080.50, broken down as follows:
- 1st year (Sep 15, 2025 – Sep 14, 2026) at $50,778.92;
- 2nd year (Sep 15, 2026 – Sep 14, 2027) at $53,317.85;
- 3rd year (Sep 15, 2027 – Sep 14, 2028) at $55,983.73.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a three-year period starting from September 15, 2025 and ending on September 14, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be provided online and are accessible from any location with internet access.

Bidder Requirements
This is a single source contract awarded specifically to UpToDate Wolters Kluwer Clinical Drug Information, Inc., as they are the only provider of the Medi-Span Master Drug Database necessary for compliance with Florida Statutes.
