Mapping and Marketing of Key Black History Sites in Jacksonville

Background
The City of Jacksonville, Florida, through its Neighborhoods Department, is seeking proposals for the mapping and marketing of key Black history sites in Jacksonville. This initiative aims to support, fund, acknowledge, amplify, and connect the city's Black historical and cultural destinations. The goal is to enhance public awareness and appreciation of these significant sites.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the mapping, marking, and marketing of key Black history sites in Jacksonville. Specific tasks include:
- Developing historic marker signs that narrate continuous Black history along important corridors.
- Collaborating with local Black history organizations and stakeholders to establish common objectives.
- Utilizing interactive signage, technology, maps, websites, publications, and social media to promote these sites.
- Ensuring that signage is consistent with current state and local historic signage standards.
- Deliverables include signage that is visible, factual, compelling, linked to contiguous sites or districts, and provides narratives that evoke a sense of presence.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the contract will commence upon execution and will continue for one year. The Buyer reserves the right to terminate the solicitation according to the contract termination provisions.

Place of Performance
The majority of services shall be performed within Duval County, Florida.
