Management and Programming of Community Center at McGirts Creek Community Center

Background
The City of Jacksonville is seeking proposals for the management and programming of the McGirts Creek Community Center located at Lew Brantley Park. The goal of this contract is to provide community-focused programming that meets local needs, enhancing the quality of life for residents.

The center, built in 2005, spans 4,440 square feet and is situated adjacent to recreational facilities including playgrounds, picnic shelters, basketball courts, baseball fields, and soccer fields.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for managing and providing programming at the McGirts Creek Community Center. This includes:
- Developing programs that reflect community needs in areas such as education, music, arts, social services, health, wellness, nutrition, and athletics for all ages.
- Mentoring youth to enhance self-esteem and develop teamwork and leadership skills.
- Providing structured programming five days a week for both adults and children.
- Complying with the City’s Background Screening Policy for staff working with children.
- Submitting a list of fees and charges for services to be approved by the City.
- Maintaining the facility in an 'as-is' condition while ensuring regular cleaning and minor repairs are conducted by the contractor.
- Ensuring compliance with governmental regulations throughout the contract term.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement will commence upon execution of the contract and will continue for three (3) years with two (2) optional three-year renewals.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a minimum of two years' experience in providing similar programming. They must also be legally authorized to operate in Duval County and provide proof of applicable local business licenses.

Bidders should be registered as a not-for-profit corporation in good standing with the State of Florida. Additionally, they must maintain liability insurance as required by the City.
