Management and Programming of Community Center at McGirts Creek Community Center

Background
The City of Jacksonville is seeking proposals for the management and programming of the McGirts Creek Community Center located at Lew Brantley Park. This initiative aims to enhance community engagement and provide various programs that cater to the needs of local residents, particularly focusing on youth development and community wellness.

Work Details
The selected contractor will be responsible for managing and providing programming at the McGirts Creek Community Center. This includes offering educational, musical, artistic, social services, health, wellness, nutrition, and athletic activities for all ages.

Specific programming for youth should focus on mentoring, enhancing self-esteem, teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership skills, and life skills. The contractor must demonstrate experience in similar programming and ensure public access consistent with community needs. The center is provided in 'as-is' condition; the contractor will be responsible for regular cleaning and minor maintenance.

The organization must provide structured programming five days a week and comply with the City’s background screening policy.

Period of Performance
The initial term of the agreement will commence upon execution of the contract and will continue for three (3) years with two (2) optional three-year renewals.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least two years of experience in similar programming. They must be legally authorized to operate in Duval County and provide proof of applicable local business licenses. Additionally, bidders must maintain liability insurance as required by the City of Jacksonville throughout the contract term.
