Background
The Fort Walton Beach Housing Authority (FWBHA) is a public entity responsible for providing federally subsidized housing and assistance to low-income families in Fort Walton Beach. The agency is governed by a seven-person board of commissioners and operates under Title 24 of the Code of Federal Regulations. Currently, FWBHA manages approximately 100 multi-family apartment units, administers 852 Housing Choice and VA Supporting Housing Vouchers, and oversees 212 Market Rate units with around 18 employees. To enhance its operational efficiency, the agency is soliciting proposals for Managed IT Services and Support.
Work Details
The contractor will provide a comprehensive range of IT services including:
1. Help Desk Support: Qualified staff available from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday to Friday, with unlimited 24/7 support for emergencies.
2. On-site Support: Deployment of resources for issues that cannot be resolved remotely, with a response time of two hours by phone and one hour on-site for critical issues.
3. Managed Detection and Response (MDR): Continuous cyber security monitoring and email security against phishing and malware.
4. Asset Management: Maintenance of hardware inventory including firewalls, switches, desktops, laptops, servers, etc., along with warranty notifications.
5. Software Licensing Control: Management of software licenses and renewals.
6. Lifecycle Management: Processes for asset decommissioning and disposal.
7. Reporting: Performance reporting on system health metrics such as CPU utilization and network downtime.
8. Strategic Planning: Development of a long-term technology plan in collaboration with the agency.
9. Project Management: Technical resources for identified projects.
10. IT Policy Review: Assistance in developing technology use policies.
11. Compliance Assistance: Support for PCI compliance implementation.
12. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Provisioning an MFA solution for secure logins.
13. Security Awareness Training: Training for agency users on current threats and compliance standards.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last until April 13, 2026.
