The University of Central Florida (UCF) is seeking qualified commercial and industrial specialty trade low voltage contractors to perform installations related to various Information Technology systems. Work Details
Contractors will provide necessary materials and labor, including internal project management, for the installation of IT Physical Layer infrastructure and engineering services. The scope includes:
- Underground duct bank and maintenance hole installation.
- Outside Plant (OSP) copper telephone cabling and fiber optic cabling, including splicing, termination, and testing.
- Structured cabling for copper/fiber optic/coax riser cabling and facilities, voice/data/TV outlets, Telecom Room and Server Room build outs.
- Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) Access Control cabling and device installation.
- ESS IP Surveillance cabling and camera focusing.
- Sound Masking cabling and commissioning.
- Digital Signage and Wayfinding cabling installation.
- Power Over Ethernet (POE) Lighting cabling.
- Wireless Access Point (WAP) cabling installation and testing.
- Integrated Audio Visual (A/V) cabling and terminations.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of one year with options to renew for four additional one-year periods.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various campuses of the University of Central Florida.
Bidder Requirements
Contractors must be licensed in Florida as General Contractors at the time of application. They must provide proof of bonding capacity between $4 million and $7.5 million.
