Live Front Dead Front Phase 3

Background
The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) is seeking a contractor for the Live Front Dead Front Phase 3 project. The goal of this contract is to replace multiple Live front switches with 9 Dead front PME switches, which is essential for the district's electrical infrastructure.

The project involves significant coordination with The Walt Disney World Company and/or Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) for planned outages necessary for the work.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Replacing Live front switches with Dead front PME switches;
- Removing and installing transformers;
- Reconfiguring circuits by running new cables, splicing into existing cables, and directional drilling.

The scope includes providing concrete encased duct banks, directional drilled conduits, direct buried conduits, electric pull boxes, temporary generator support, and switch pads. Additionally, the contractor will provide 15kV cable splices and terminations as indicated in the specifications. The contractor will also install Owner-furnished PME type pad mounted switches and Owner-furnished 15kV cable. Generators and Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) will be provided by the contractor as required.

Period of Performance
This is a multi-year project that will take place over an extended period at multiple locations throughout CFTOD property.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District property.

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must comply with all state and local codes including Epcot Building Codes, National Electric Code, National Electrical Safety Code, OSHA standards (29 CFR parts 1910 & 1926), and the latest RCES Underground Construction Rules in the vicinity of CFTOD Electric Utilities.

There are preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses on most solicitations.
