Description

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department) seeks to obtain competitive bids for the outright purchase and delivery of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) approved finish grade lime rock in accordance with the specifications listed herein, for the Florida Forest Service, Bunnell District, Tiger Bay State Forest, Daytona Beach Florida.

APPENDIX I, attached below and referenced in the ITB, provides the map of the project area.

Background
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is seeking competitive bids for the purchase and delivery of FDOT approved finish grade lime rock. This initiative supports the Florida Forest Service, specifically for the Bunnell District at Tiger Bay State Forest in Daytona Beach, Florida. The contract is conducted under the guidelines of Chapter 287, Florida Statutes, and Rule 60A-1, Florida Administrative Code.

Work Details
The contract involves the outright purchase and delivery of 11,500 tons of FDOT approved finished grade lime rock. The material must meet specific FDOT specifications, ensuring it is free from lumps of aggregate that could hinder a smooth work surface. Additionally, the lime rock must be devoid of trash and foreign matter and sourced from pits that are free from exotic plant species.

Delivery will be made to the Florida Forest Service at 4316 West International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida 32124. All materials must be delivered and stockpiled at Tiger Bay State Forest. Delivery should commence within two weeks upon issuance of the purchase order and continue uninterrupted until completed. The vendor is responsible for inspecting staging areas and haul routes prior to bidding to determine equipment suitability.

Period of Performance
The delivery of materials must begin within two weeks following the issuance of the Department’s executed purchase order and continue until all materials are delivered.

Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at Tiger Bay State Forest, located at 4316 West International Speedway Blvd, Daytona Beach, Florida 32124.
