Lime Rock Base and Limestone Road Material- Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest

Background
The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) is seeking competitive bids for the purchase and delivery of road base materials to support infrastructure development at the Okaloacoochee Slough State Forest in Hendry County, Florida. The goal is to procure approximately 4,500 tons of FDOT approved finish grade lime rock base and 600 tons of FDOT approved #57 limestone gravel, ensuring compliance with state specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will provide and deliver the following materials:
- 4,500 tons of FDOT approved finish grade lime rock base (Base Road Material 2min)
- 600 tons of FDOT approved #57 limestone gravel (Drainage ½”-1”).

All materials must meet FDOT specifications, be free from lumps of aggregate that prevent a smooth work surface, and come from sources free of trash and exotic plant species. Delivery must begin within 14 days after receipt of purchase order, with a minimum of 15 loads delivered per day. All deliveries must be completed by May 1, 2025.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon issuance of the purchase order and is expected to conclude by May 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
Delivery will take place at the Florida Forest Service's OSSF Rock Pit located across from 6265 C.R. 832, Felda, Florida 33930.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must comply with all requirements outlined in the solicitation. This includes having a valid W-9 on file with the Florida Department of Financial Services prior to issuance of a purchase order or contract. Vendors must also register in MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and may need to provide proof of certification for preferences related to minority business enterprises or drug-free workplace programs.
