Lawncare Services for Manatee Operations Center

Background
The State of Florida Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for Lawncare Services at the Manatee Operations Center. The goal is to maintain the landscape and turf areas in an attractive and healthy condition, ensuring that the grounds are well-kept and functional for the operations conducted at this facility.

Work Details
The Vendor will provide all labor, materials, equipment, chemicals, supplies, and services necessary to maintain all turf and landscaped areas. Services include:

1) Mowing: Turf areas will be mowed no less than once every seven days during the fast-growing season (March 15 - December 15) and every fourteen days during the slower growing season (December 16 - March 14). Mowing may only occur on Fridays or weekends. Debris must be cleared prior to mowing, and clippings must be blown from hard surfaces after mowing.

2) Leaf and Debris Removal: All hard surfaces must be cleared of leaves and debris according to the mowing schedule.

3) Edging: Edging of turf areas adjacent to sidewalks, curbs, and flower beds will be performed consistently with the mowing schedule.

4) Weeding: Manual weed control will ensure no visible weeds are present.

5) Pruning and Trimming: Shrubbery and trees will be pruned as directed by the Project Manager to maintain a uniform appearance. Dead or diseased growth must be removed and disposed of properly.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to begin on July 1, 2025, and will last for a period of twelve months until June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Manatee Operations Center located at 14000 E SR 64, Bradenton, FL 34212.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been actively engaged in providing similar services for a minimum of three years. They must also be authorized to do business in Florida and possess any necessary licenses required by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
