Laundry Equipment

Background
The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is the largest agency in Florida and operates the third-largest state prison system in the United States, managing 143 facilities statewide. The FDC has a need to purchase laundry equipment for various correctional facilities throughout the state, which includes delivery, setup, and training for staff.
This solicitation follows a previous procurement under ATC-23-006 for laundry equipment.

Work Details
The contract involves providing industrial laundry equipment, including delivery, installation, and staff training at correctional facilities. The vendor must ensure safe handling and installation of heavy equipment, provide necessary utility connections (electricity, gas, water), and conduct thorough testing of machines post-installation.
Comprehensive training on operation and features must be provided to staff. Vendors are required to bid exclusively on specified items unless equivalent items are approved by the Department.

Period of Performance
The contract will be awarded for a term of up to three years with potential renewals as specified in Section 287.057(14), Florida Statutes.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at various correctional facilities throughout the State of Florida as specified by the Department.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must be registered with MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) and in good standing with the Florida Department of State. They must submit mandatory documentation including a Price Sheet, Vendor’s Contact Information and Certification, Certification of a Drug-Free Workplace Program, Security Requirements for Contractors, and other specified attachments.
Out-of-state vendors must provide a Florida Preference Letter detailing any public contract preferences from their home state.
