Landscaping Services For Hillsborough County

Background
The Florida Department of Health is seeking competitive prices for Landscaping Services for Hillsborough County. This Invitation to Bid (ITB) aims to secure a contractor who can provide comprehensive landscaping services across multiple locations within the county, ensuring that the facilities are well-maintained and visually appealing.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for a variety of landscaping services including but not limited to: mowing, edging, fertilizing, watering, pruning, and maintaining irrigation systems. Specific tasks include:
- Mowing lawns at an appropriate height and removing excessive clippings.
- Pruning shrubs and trees to promote healthy growth and aesthetics.
- Maintaining irrigation systems and ensuring proper water distribution.
- Keeping all areas free from debris and waste materials.
- Providing lawn care services such as fertilization three times per year, applying pre-emergent weed control in April and October, and maintaining soil pH between 6.0 and 7.0.
- Monitoring for signs of disease or insect infestations in plants and implementing a preventative spray program as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with local codes regarding maintenance of retention basins and facility boundaries.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on July 1, 2026, or upon issuance of the purchase order, whichever is later, and will conclude on June 30, 2029. The contract may be renewed based on satisfactory performance evaluations.

- College Hill WIC/Parking Lot: 2313 E 28th Ave., Tampa, FL 33605
- University WIC: 13601 N 22nd St., Tampa, FL 33613
- Sulphur Springs WIC: 8605 N. Mitchell Ave., Tampa, FL 33604
- North Hillsborough WIC: 9827 N Sheldon Rd., Tampa, FL 33615

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a valid Florida Driver’s License and maintain a Pesticide Applicator Certification. All staff must wear identification badges during service. Additionally, bidders must complete various forms including the Statement of Non-Collusion and Vendor Certification (PUR 7801). Attendance at a mandatory site visit is required prior to bid submission.
