Janitorial Services - Tampa

Background
The Florida Department of Commerce is seeking qualified contractors to provide janitorial services at the Commerce Tampa Building located at 9215 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612. The goal of this contract is to obtain competitive pricing for these essential services, which support the Department's mission of maintaining a clean and safe environment for its employees and visitors.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing comprehensive janitorial services including but not limited to: daily cleaning of offices, restrooms, and common areas; trash removal; floor care (vacuuming, mopping, and waxing); window cleaning; and ensuring that all cleaning supplies meet safety standards. Specific tasks include:
- Daily dusting and sanitizing of surfaces.
- Cleaning and disinfecting restrooms and replenishing supplies.
- Vacuuming carpets and mopping hard floors.
- Emptying trash receptacles and disposing of waste properly.
- Performing periodic deep cleaning as required.

Period of Performance
The contract period is expected to commence on May 1, 2026, and will remain in effect for thirty-six (36) months until May 1, 2029. There is an option for renewal for up to three additional years based on satisfactory performance.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Commerce Tampa Building located at 9215 North Florida Avenue, Tampa, FL 33612.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific requirements including:
- Must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference/site visit on February 26, 2026.
- Must provide proof of registration with the DMS MyFloridaMarketPlace (MFMP) VIP system prior to contract execution.
- Must submit a written plan addressing environmental considerations as part of their bid.
- Must have appropriate insurance coverage including general liability and workers' compensation insurance. Bidders must also submit a signed Commerce Solicitation Acknowledgment Form with their bid.
