Janitorial Services at Various Park Locations

Background
The City of Jacksonville, Florida, through its Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, is seeking bids for janitorial services at various park locations. The goal of this contract is to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of park restrooms across four geographical areas. The contract aims to enhance the quality of services provided to the community while adhering to budgetary constraints.

Work Details
The contractor will provide janitorial services including cleaning and maintenance of park restrooms as specified in the bid documents. Bidders must submit proposals for all locations within a geographical group to be considered for award. The contract will cover a twelve-month period based on unit pricing, with performance evaluated regularly. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids as deemed in its best interest.

Period of Performance
The initial period of service will be one year, with three optional one-year renewals subject to approval by both the supplier and the City of Jacksonville.

Services will be performed at various park locations within Jacksonville, Florida, grouped into four geographical areas.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have been engaged in commercial janitorial services for a minimum of 36 consecutive months prior to the bid opening date. They must provide proof of applicable local business licenses if located within Duval County, a list of contracts held in the past 36 months, and evidence of liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage. Additionally, bidders are required to have an operating office within Duval County prior to notice to proceed.
