Jail-Based Competency Restoration (JBCR) Program

Background
The State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, is seeking qualified Applicant(s) to implement and manage a Jail-Based Competency Restoration Program (JBCR/Program) in county jails for people evaluated and found to be incompetent to proceed (ITP) and meeting criteria for commitment and admission to a forensic state mental health treatment facility (SMHTF). The contract is entered into between the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, and the Provider. The contract amount is not to exceed a specified amount. The service performance period under this Contract shall commence on a specified date and shall end at midnight, Eastern time, on a specified end date.

Work Details
The Provider is engaged to implement and manage a Jail-Based Competency Restoration Program (JBCR/Program) in county jails for individuals found to be incompetent to proceed (ITP) and meeting criteria for commitment and admission to a forensic state mental health treatment facility. The Scope of Work, Task List, Deliverables, and Performance Measures are described in Exhibits B, C, D, and E respectively.
The Provider shall perform all tasks set forth in the Task List in the manner set forth therein.
The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease the volume of services and add tasks incidental or complimentary to the original scope of services.

Period of Performance
The service performance period under this Contract shall commence on a specified date and shall end at midnight, Eastern time, on a specified end date.
This Contract may be renewed in accordance with §§287.057(14) or 287.058(1)(g), Florida Statutes (F.S.).

Place of Performance
The geographic location(s) where the Jail-Based Competency Restoration Program (JBCR/Program) will be implemented and managed are county jails.
