INVITATION TO BID BDC23-24/25 Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park Beach Restoration

Background
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Bureau of Design and Construction is issuing this Invitation to Bid for the Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park Beach Restoration project. The agency's mission includes the protection and management of Florida's natural resources. This project aims to restore the beach area at Fort Zachary Taylor Historic State Park in Monroe County, Florida.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the construction of the Fort Zachary Taylor Beach Restoration project according to the provided construction documents. Longshoreman’s Insurance is required and must be included in the bid price.

Bidders must be pre-qualified; they need to submit a copy of their biennial pre-qualification letter from FDEP’s Bureau of Design and Construction or, if not pre-qualified, provide a current State Contractor license certification and Corporate Charter registration with their bid. The project must adhere to green building standards where applicable as per Executive Order 07-126 and Section 255.252(3), F.S.

The contract work is expected to commence following the bid submission deadline of October 29, 2024, with specific timelines detailed in the construction documents.
