The People and Internal Operations Department (PIOD) of Miami-Dade County is seeking bids for interpreting, translation, and sign language services. Work Details
The awarded contractor will provide the following services:

2. **Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)**: A fee-based service allowing remote interpretation where the interpreter may be located at a different site. The vendor must provide 24/7 on-demand VRI services via an app or online platform compatible with mobile devices.
3. **Communication Access Real-time Translation (CART)**: Instant translation of spoken words into written text for hard-of-hearing participants using real-time software and equipment. The vendor must provide all necessary equipment and a text file post-event.
4. **C-Print Captionist Services**: A summarized speech-to-text service for individuals preferring printed text over sign language, often used in educational or professional settings.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on the first calendar day of the month following approval by the County Mayor or designee and will remain in effect for 12 months.
Place of Performance
Services will be provided at various County locations as required by PIOD, with some services available remotely.
Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have qualified interpreters certified by recognized institutions such as ACCI, NAD, RID, NTID, or FRID. They must also hold a current Florida license for each discipline and have no record of judgments or conflicts of interest with Miami-Dade County. Additionally, bidders must meet insurance requirements including Workers Compensation, General Liability, Automobile Liability, and Professional Liability coverage.
