International Drive and Sand Lake Road Pedestrian Bridge

Background
The Board of County Commissioners, Orange County, Florida, is soliciting proposals for design services for the International Drive and Sand Lake Road Pedestrian Bridge.
The project aims to enhance pedestrian safety and accessibility in the area.

Work Details
The selected contractor will provide comprehensive design services for the pedestrian bridge, which includes but is not limited to:
- Structural design of a roadway bridge or a pedestrian bridge with a minimum length of 100 feet;
- Preparation of final construction plans and technical specifications;
- Conducting a design survey;
- Utility coordination;
- Preparation of lighting plans;
- Public involvement activities.
Proposers must demonstrate experience with similar projects that include structural steel or steel truss designs, preparation of right-of-way maps, and obtaining necessary permits from relevant authorities.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from the date of award until completion, with proposals due by 4:00 PM EST on April 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed in Orange County, Florida.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must be registered with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system to verify employment eligibility.
A minimum coverage of Professional Liability Insurance in the amount of $5,000,000.00 is required.
Proposers must also comply with local hiring initiatives including commitments to hire dislocated workers and registered service-disabled veterans.
