Background
The City of Orlando is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB26-0233) for Interior and Exterior Window Cleaning Services to ensure that city facilities are clean, professional, and well-maintained.
The goal of this project is to enhance the appearance of buildings, improve natural lighting, and protect window surfaces to extend their lifespan. This initiative aligns with the City’s commitment to stewardship, safety, and creating welcoming spaces for employees and the public.
Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for cleaning interior and exterior glass surfaces in various City buildings. Specific tasks include:
1) Cleaning all surfaces using appropriate window-cleaning equipment to achieve a uniformly bright surface free of drips and streaks;
2) Removing non-water-soluble substances like gum or paint with appropriate cleaning agents;
3) Ensuring all moisture is removed from glass surfaces;
4) Cleaning metal and aluminum frames;
5) Providing 'Green' cleaning chemicals that meet Green Seal Environmental Standards;
6) Notifying the City of any pre-existing damage before cleaning;
7) Completing work in a workmanship manner according to industry standards.
The work will be performed at various locations including Camping World Stadium, Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens, Orlando Police Headquarters, and several community police offices with specified frequencies ranging from quarterly to semi-annually.
Period of Performance
The contract is intended for a one-year term starting upon approval and execution by the City. It may be renewed for up to four additional twelve-month periods, totaling a maximum of sixty months.
Place of Performance
Services will be performed at multiple locations throughout Orlando, Florida including Camping World Stadium, Harry P. Leu Botanical Gardens, Orlando Police Headquarters, and various community police offices.
Bidder Requirements
Respondents must have adequate personnel and equipment to perform the services required. They must also complete several forms including a Respondent's Certification Form acknowledged before a Notary Public. The City reserves the right to inspect the Respondent's facility prior to contract award.
