Integrated Pest Management (IPM) for MDAD

Background
The Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) is seeking to establish a contract for Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Services across multiple airport locations including Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami Executive Airport (TMB), Opa Locka Airport (OPF), Homestead General Airport (X51), and Dade Collier Training and Transition Airport (TNT).

The goal of this contract is to implement an environmentally sound pest suppression and prevention program that ensures these facilities remain pest-free for patrons and employees.

Work Details
The awarded contractor will implement an IPM program that utilizes a variety of technological and management practices to achieve long-term pest control. The services include:

1. Regular inspections of the facilities to identify pest issues.
2. Application of least toxic methods for pest control, minimizing risks to human health and the environment.
3. Adherence to minimum standards outlined in the solicitation for pest management practices.
4. Documentation of all services performed, including pesticide applications and monitoring results.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on the first calendar day of the month following approval by the Board of County Commissioners and will remain in effect for five years, expiring on the last day of the sixtieth month.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Miami International Airport (MIA), Miami Executive Airport (TMB), Opa Locka Airport (OPF), Homestead General Airport (X51), and Dade Collier Training and Transition Airport (TNT).

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be regularly engaged in providing integrated pest management services and provide three references from previous clients. Key personnel must be Certified Pest Control Operators (CPCO) with relevant certifications included in the bid submission.

Bidders must also hold a valid license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to operate a pest control business.
